Ryan Lakhan-Bunbury

Ryan Lakhan-Bunbury is the founder of Calm That Anxiety, a coaching space shaped by his lived experience of panic disorder and agoraphobia.

For over 15 years, fear quietly shaped his life,  fear of driving, crossing bridges, and being in open spaces. Things many take for granted felt impossible. But over time, with support, compassion, and tools like mindfulness, coaching, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Ryan began to meet his fear differently. And step by step, he rebuilt his life with clarity and intention.

Now, he brings that lived wisdom into his work, gently supporting people who feel stuck in cycles of worry, stress or anxiety. Alongside his personal journey, Ryan has trained in CBT at UCL, worked as a therapist in the NHS, delivered workshops on stress and resilience for both local communities and global organisations, and partnered with Mind to co-create mental health initiatives rooted in accessibility and inclusion.

Ryan’s approach is quietly powerful. He meets people where they are,  with warmth, spaciousness, and care. His work invites you back to yourself, helping you soften fear, strengthen self-trust, and find calm,  not just in theory, but in practice.

Because he’s been there too.
